Purpose Driven Workplace Wellbeing, presented by Denise Dumont-Bernier, Occupational Medical Consulting - OMC Wellness Works

“Wellness” is getting a bad rap. Often, this is because many employers are “dabbling” with biggest loser contests, offering gym memberships (which are typically used by the already motivated and healthy part of the population), and providing educational materials and awareness campaigns that don’t support employees enough in truly making lasting health behavior change. Many employers are considering electronic wellness platforms, but are they enough to help people make lifestyle change? What happens when the newness of these gadgets wares off? The industry is poorly defined and there are many varying suggestions as to what constitutes a “wellness program” but few document results or value for the investment.

Join Denise Dumont-Bernier, an occupational health and wellness professional with over 30 years’ experience working with Maine Businesses to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforces. She has worked with numerous employers over the years and has been able to show true return on the wellness dollar investment. She will lead a discussion about what works, where to make the investment and how to measure results- and engage you in a dialogue about the future of employee health and wellbeing.

    Key Learnings:

    1. Understand why wellness at the workplace is an essential investment which impacts engagement, recruitment, retention, health, safety, productivity.
